Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort - At a Glance

Sugar Beach (formerly the Jalousie Plantation) in St Lucia was constructed in the 18th century as a sugar mill, today it's a luxury resort well known for it's excellent secluded accommodation and a great choice for discerning couples looking for a special Caribbean wedding destination.  Sugar Beach is in a spectacular location right on the hillside above the bay between the Piton mountains.

The resort has eleven Luxury and Superior Luxury Sugar Mill Rooms each with its own private walled garden, outdoor plunge pool and personalised butler service. In addition there are 42 luxury villas, two bars and four restaurants  serving a variety of cuisine from Cre-Ole tapas to dishes combining Caribbean flavours fused with Mediterranean, Mexico and South American influences. The poolside bar is located just behind the beach with a more informal restaurant and the new Palm Court Lounge has swinging day beds, elegant furnishings and a stylish marble floor in al fresco surroundings, perfect for a spot of relaxation!

Sugar Beach has a Rainforest Spa with seven tree house treatment rooms and a special Amerindian steam room, offering a wide range of treatments and rituals including a new signature Bamboo massage. In addition, there's a number of activities, both ashore and afloat. Don't miss a trip to the nearby sulphur springs at Soufriere, in the crater of a former volcano and a trip to the rainforest or plantations, perhaps followed by an evening drink or dinner watching the sunset through the Pitons, from Ladera, 1100 feet above sea level.

The resort also has a fantastic gym with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment including elliptical trainers and free weights, treadmills and bikes.

Sugar Beach is located in the dramatic World Heritage site of the Pitons which comprises more than 100 acres of pristine tropical rainforest and has to be one of the most romantic backdrops for a wedding in St Lucia.
